Please join us for a two day interactive workshop that will enable participants to develop the tools and skills necessary to compete effectively in today's public sector job market and jumpstart their careers.
Students will also have homework before each session, including pre-session questionnaires to help them flesh out their goals, develop an effective action plan to achieve those goals, and reinforce the key concepts covered during the sessions.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
  • Develop an effective job search strategy and a detailed, realistic action plan
  • Assess their strengths and identify what is standing in the way of their goals
  • Revamp their resume and learn how to write effective cover letters
  • Deliver a polished elevator speech
  • Understand the do's and don'ts for the different types of interviews
  • Showcase their experience and expertise for potential employers
  • Understand how to evaluate and negotiate employment offers
  • Take advantage of their current situation to advance their professional objectives
Pre-work and homework will be assigned and is
required for all participants. Pre-work will be provided two (2) weeks prior to the Boot Camp.
Participants are required to attend both days.


About the Facilitators

Carol Rollie Flynn

Carol Rollie Flynn, the Managing Principal of
Singa Consulting, has helped hundreds of clients achieve personal and professional goals through individual and group coaching. A 30-year veteran of the Central Intelligence Agency, Ms. Flynn held senior executive positions at the CIA including Executive Director of the Counterterrorism Center and Director of the CIA Leadership Academy where she oversaw leadership and management training for several thousand employees each year. Ms. Flynn is also an adjunct Associate Professor at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy.


Dr. Jeffrey Connor
Dr. Jeffrey Connor has provided organizational and individual consultation for senior leaders in a variety of organizations. Much of his work has been with the US Intelligence Community, and he also worked with federal law enforcement and the US military. Dr. Connor consults on organizational structure and strategy, on culture and change, and has provided in-depth assessments and executive consultation for individuals developing as leaders.
